Firenza

What a difference a little sleeps makes!  We arrived um, I think yesterday, because we have lost half a day, to find our little Hotel Botticelli perfectly located, small, and quaint.  We couldn't wait to leave it.

Steve and I bundled up for rain, but soon saw the clouds break and the sky come through.  We walked through St. Lorenzo Market and I found molte purses that I loved and will end up purchasing through their excellent discount program!  We quickly found a trattoria with Chianti Classico and margharita pizza at an outdoor cafe called Cafe Zaza in the square.  We walked and walked and later realized we needed round two, so found another trattoria, another pizza, and another bottle of wine.  We returned to the Botticelli and crashed at  930.

Up at 8 and a gorgeous day of touring the town with a professional tour guide.

A Late Start

I created this blog nearly a year ago, and it has taken me to this day (my daughter's 26th birthday, in fact) to finally begin posting. Much has happened since then and now, but it was my trip to the OPA Eastern Regional show in Jacksonville that got the motor running. I was fortunate to be included in this great show and I left inspired having met CW Mundy and many other great artists. One thing is for certain - we all share a similar journey of ups and downs, triumphs and disappointments - and our journey will never meets its final destination. I will use this blog to share news, thoughts, teachings, tips, and paintings. I will do my best to keep it up to date!
